What I use.
"Buying a camera doesn't make you a photographer. It makes you a camera owner." -- Unknown
If you’ve made it here, you must be nerdy like me. I like you already. :)
Pro gear bag
Nikon z5 and kit lens (I love this camera. My first “pro-quality” camera, I’ll love it forever.)
Nikon 35mm, 50mm, 85mm f/1.8 S Lenses (all primes, my 3 amigos, my babies.)
Lexar sd cards (Exclusively. Others seem to die too often on me. /shrug)
Peak Design Slide strap (SUUUUUPER COMFY!)
Peak Design Everyday Sling 10l. (It's been through the thick and thin, and still brand new. I swear it's indestructible.)
Everyday Gear bag
Canon M50 Mark II (A cute little number, small but mighty.)
Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM kit lens. (Does the job.)
Lexar SD Cards (Keep it full of the good stuff, and you’ll never lose a shot.)
Peak Design Slide strap (From the pro gear, I can wear it all day and it’s still comfy.)
Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L (It’s a little baby of the big gear. Enough for a camera, a few business cards, a lens pen, and a few SD cards. Just what I need to carry every day.)
editing and aftershoot
All my editing is done in Photomator. I have used Adobe products before, but I am making the switch. To be blunt, I don’t agree with Adobe’s practices, and the cost is far too high. Photomator runs better on my computer stuff, and is just as powerful, at a much less cost.
I do my nerdy work on Mac devices. I love them, they just "work". Plus, since I can't tinker with them, the temptation isn't there to play with stuff and break it, which happens to me a lot in Linux or Windows.
I use a MacBook Pro m1 14". It was hot-rodded when I got it, and she's still going strong. (knock on wood.)
I also like to use my iPad, It's an iPad 10, usually for culling my pictures and very light edits.
This is my obligatory "Send me free stuff" line. I use this stuff pretty rigorously, I love it, and I would recommend this to anyone. so Nikon, Canon, Lexar, PD, Pixelmator, and Apple, balls in your court now ;)
